Traditional rooms and apartments, in the fertile valley with the beautiful view, surrounded by the well known orchards, just five kilometres from the port.
Naxos is one of the most attractive and beautiful of the Greek Islands. It harmoniously combines a majestic mountain beauty with the intensively cultivated agricultural plains, lush valleys of citrus and olive groves, pastel coloured coastal plains, kilometres of sweeping golden sands and unspoilt villages.
A building that dates back in 1207, right next to the famous Venetian Castle (Kastro) of Naxos, in between the alleys and the maze of the Old Town of Naxos.
The Hotel is located in Galini village, 6 km from Naxos town. The rooms have a view to the valley of Eggares. The owner is very willing and helpful to assist you in any issue that you may face. There is a wifi and a garden around the rooms. The village is very calm and very close to Amitis beach. There is one tavern in the village with fantastic food and local wine (stuffed onions is the best dish)

Going to any Greek island in August always sounds like foolish idea for someone that wanted peace, quiet, tranquility and rest - and especially a popular island like Naxos. Until I came across this glorious hotel in the village Galini 6 km from the Harbour town Hora.... With only half a dozen rooms it's a small but beautifully fitted hotel, and the "Honeymoon suite" I was lucky enough to stay in had rustic furniture with daybed, comfortable bed, kitchenette, coffee maker and was decorated with Lace & Cotton of your Country Cottage dream. But by no means ending up a frilly affair. This was the best place I possibly could have stayed in, I will definitely return, thank you, thank you, thank you Vagelis!

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights in Naxos Filoxenia.
These peaceful aparmtents have nothing to do with the typical touristy type lodgings, with standardised furniture and minimal contact with the locals. There is black stone on the floor, making the rooms cool even in the hot summer days, furniture is from another era, reminiscend of old days.
The complex offers a great view of the fertile valley where one can have a walk. If you like nature, join Vagellis, the gracious owner ,on a visit to his trees, which are filled with fruits of all kind. You will also get to see his chicken, help him water the trees, see the fish in the small pond. All in all, a great taste of rural life in Galini.
But the most important thing, is Vagellis himself. He is attentive, knows everything there is to know about the island, is active in many things around Naxos, gives you ideas about hikes and excursions, and wants to provide you with all the information you would like to hear about Naxos. He even gave us some of his homemade sweets, produced from his own orange trees.
To me, Vagellis is Naxos itself, relaxed, pure and hospitable.
